We are growing our sales organization.  We are seeking talented, aggressive and highly-motivated individuals to sell our data center virtualization and management software solutions to enterprise customers.  If you are an over-achiever, driven by new business success, and you've got what it takes to build, lead and scale a new business initiative, then we want to speak with you.
The right candidate will have full responsibility and accountability for all sales activities in the regional area, lead a process-driven approach to sales qualification and revenue closure and work closely with Virtual Iron’s marketing, systems engineering, professional services and executive teams in a complex, enterprise sales environment.


  • Dynamic, high energy, creative sales professional with years of quota-beating sales experience (IT infrastructure software sales experience is mandatory)
  • Strong executive-level contact base
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly “seed and grow” new enterprise customers
  • Technical acumen with ability to present and sell technology products in a business context
  • Proven ability to negotiate and close enterprise-level software license agreements
  • Consultative, process-oriented approach to selling with track record of qualifying and closing complex, high value sales transactions
  • Timely and predictable sales forecasting skills
  • Exemplary interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Willingness and desire to travel extensively in support of sales activities and team success
