Can someone explain to me how a software update of the management server will be done? Is it possible to upgrade the management server without service disruption? And how will the software on the hardware nodes be updated after the management server has updated?

There is an update application for version 3.1 and in version 3.5 you can update directly within the Virtualization Manager. You will need to momentarily shut down your virtual servers once the upgrade has completed to reboot the physical server (this is the only step you need to do to update the hardware nodes). The service outage for virtual servers will be a few minutes.

Is is possible to get the guests running by using the migrate function? ie. move guests to one computation node, restart the other and vice-versa.

Unfortunately it's not (yet) possible to LiveMigrate between two different versions ... but we're working on it!
