Hi, first of all kudos to the team for such a nice product. I have a question. Does 3.1 support iSCSI storage for virtual machines. 'cause that is the most sought after configuration by most of the small business, who cannot afford a FC SAN. If it does not support, then when is this expected by. I would be more than happy to participate in a beta and test it out. Regards KIRAN

Kiran, Thank you for the kind words. We currently support iSCSI storage via an initiator loaded in a Virtual Server. 3.1 does not support booting virtual servers from an iSCSI target however. We will be adding this feature shortly and we will keep you posted regarding particpation in a beta.

Thanks!

Can you please include me in the beta as well.  We use EqualLogic iSCSI SAN's here and would really like to be able to SAN boot VM's for testing.

Thanks!

Hello,
iScsi Boot-Support will be a great future for our customer. We are using HP iSCSI SAN (MSA 1510i)
Can you inform us, when the feature will be available?

Thank you very much

While I cannot comment on specific dates when features will be delivered, we have heard many requests for iSCSI boot and consider it a high priority feature. I encourage you to check back for an annoucement about its availability.

Currently you have to boot virtual servers from local disks in the node and then load a iscsi software initiator in the guest OS. We will be providing iSCSI support (software initiator) to boot & run virtual servers off of iSCSI targets in the next release.

How do you setup iscsi on single server v.3.5, I've followed the doco, but can't see the LUN. I wonder if there's any limitation or config that I might have missed
