Hi,

Is RHEL (and other flavors of Linux) run on the VT hardware or does it still require the "special" paravirtualized versions of RHEL to run?

TIA.

All the OS's supported on VI run unmodified- no special paravirtualized kernel versions are needed. We make use of Intel/VT & AMDv for this capability. For full performance, we recommend installing the optional VS Tools package on the guest OS. This package includes device drivers to accelerate network & disk IO performance. We have VS Tools available for RedHat 4, SuSE SLES9, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003.
