SLES9.3EE install was started in a VM. It tells me early on "Cool computer, but you are about to install 32 bit software on a 64 bit computer".

I suppose I should get new SLES.

Is there a way to specifically set a VM as a 32BIT or 64BIT VM?

The web site says

  • "allowing 32- and 64-bit x86 operating systems to run unmodified and concurrently on a partitioned server"

    Re ver 3.1.

    What am I missing?

You can install 32-bit SLES 9.3 on Virtual Iron. The same message would occur if you installed 32-bit SLES 9.3 on a physical server with a 64-bit processor. SLES will work properly -- they're just advertising that you could use 64-bit SLES; the option is yours.

Ok.  I should have probably said I am more of a Windows guy than a Linux guy...
