Hi,
I am trying to install VI 3.5 single server edition on 40GB IDE disk. Everything is fine but after the partitioning of the disk, Virtual Iron says Unexpected Error : Unable to map /dev/hda. I was suspecting my disk to be corrupted so i tried on 70GB IDE disk but the same error popped up. Is there some Issue with VI installation on IDE disks? Please help. Thanks. |

I installed it successfully on 5000p chipset - sata drives.
Go in xen forums also - if your chipset is supported in xen, vi does that too. Edited: 03/10/2007 at 04:21 AM by nitin |

Virtual Iron supports local SATA and SCSI drives. We do not support IDE in version 3.5.
