Virtual Infrastructure - Part 3 of 4 - Network Resources
Your network resources are your virtual networks, which connect virtual machines to each other or to physical networks outside of your virtual datacenter, as shown in the graphic below. The virtual machine can run isolated or with up to 8 virtual NICs per virtual machine. The infrastructure includes a virtual ethernet switch, allowing you to connect virtual machines to external connectivity or to connect a virtual machine to other virtual machines. You can also have up to 8 physical NICs on a physical server. Part 1 of this series covers computing resources and part 2 covers storage resources.
